Were the Vrumuguns in the novels really copies of Eris? She does say that she is the real Vrumugun, but that does not necessarily imply that they were made from her own genetic material... --Pip25 12:43, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm... you've got a point there, as they never specifically say that she's the original Vrumugun in the third novel. But the word "real" heavily implies that she was also the original, meaning they are imperfect copies of her. --Catgirl the Crazy 15:42, 9 March 2007

I seem to recall Lina saying that all the different Vrumugums were men and they all have different voices, so more than probably they aren't clones of Eris. Maybe they're just magicians Eris have captured and kept under control with the ruby. The one thing we know is that Eris seems to be a very skilled magician, since Rezo praised Vrumugum before Zelgadis (page 142).

True, but Lina points out that Vrumugun has very indistinct features, and that they could be indistinct on purpose, which is why she begins to suspect that the Vrumuguns maybe copy men (pg 143). She also says that she thinks the real Vrumugun's magical power is much greater than the copies'. One can conclude from all of this that it's possible to create copies who are not identical to the original. And the different voices come from different experiances. --Catgirl the Crazy 20:32, 9 March 2007
That could be true, but can you create copies of the opposing gender? Is there even a point of Eris creating male versions of herself? Checking novel 3, Vrumugun seems to be constantly referenced as a man. --Pip25 07:56, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Hmmmm... You make a good point there, as they never really say... I think I'll change the article to say that it is only stongly implied in the novels that Eris is the original Vrumugun. --Catgirl the Crazy 15:00, 10 March 2007
